JOB TITLE: Business Development Executive

TEAM: Marketing
DATE: August 2021
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday


Business Development:

  • Monitoring clients across all businesses and analysing scope for cross selling and developing business relationships.
  • Monitoring existing client’s sales behaviour (checking database for top performing clients and frequency work to check if there are any declines in sales)
  • Reporting back on findings to executives and other staff
  • Networking with related businesses and fostering B2B relationships
  • Attend relevant construction related networking events
  • Encouraging other employees and customers to take part in growing the business by showing enthusiasm for your work and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Making follow up calls to assist with the marketing campaigns.
  • To make sales appointments for all businesses.
  • Identifying new project leads from external sources.

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Using platforms such as MailChimp to send and monitor email campaigns.
  • Delivering and following up on all marketing campaigns.
  • Exporting and cleansing marketing lists to be used for all campaigns and updating the CRM system with up-to-date information.

Marketing Planning:

  • Assisting with marketing planning such as Competitor Analysis when required.



  • Previous experience in a Business Development Role
  • Experience of generating new business and maximizing value of existing relationships


  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
